Katie is passionate about reaching out and changing people's lives through performance and is constantly exploring innovative ways to enrich lives through the power of music.
She has a rich background in outreach projects and community engagement, which was cultivated during her time in Cleveland, Ohio. Katie's quartet was awarded a grant from the Cleveland Chamber Music Society to present educational assembly-style performances in under-served city schools, where access to music education was very limited. During this time, she also regularly performed at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic as part of an initiative to bring music to patients and family members.
Katie has performed extensively in hospitals and centres for the elderly. In 2019, she put on a benefit concert for the food bank "So Others Might Eat" in Washington D.C. to great success. In January 2020, she collaborated with artists from London Chamber Orchestra to benefit the Children's Surgical Center in Cambodia which she had the privilege to visit and perform at on the renowned Toyota Classics Tour.
During the time of the pandemic and lockdown, she performed on a weekly basis in her village in support of the NHS (National Health Service, England). Katie is currently involved in planning an exciting performing, educational and outreach project in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Stay tuned!
